Bruce Lee is known for his Kung Fu movies, but not everyone knows that he developed his own unique style of martial arts that he named Jeet Kune Do. This martial art is now taught around the globe, and contains elements from older martial arts with a few people new techniques and strategies derived from epee fencing. This article will focus on what Jeet Kune Do is about and what makes it unique compared to other fighting styles.

Even though Bruce Lee is primarily known as an actor, he was also an authentic martial artist. He grew up studying many different martial art styles but he was particularly interested in Wing Chun Kung Fu. Jeet Kune Do or JKD, is a mix of all powerful elements in the fighting methods Bruce Lee perfected. Bruce Lee wanted to have a martial art form that was effective but could be personalized to fit the needs of the individual. Jeet Kune Do has had an impact on modern day fighting methods and also Western boxing and fencing. Lee’s intention was to make Jeet Kune Do into a kind of martial art that helped the individual to develop their own style.

Although Jeet Kune Do was developed by Bruce Lee to be a non-classical martial art form, quite a lot of its moves are rooted in a much older style called Wing Chun. It’s a style of Kung Fu that’s still greatly taught these days. Wing Chun was developing in China hundreds of years ago, and based on popular legend it was created by a female, a Shaolin nun known as Ng Mui. The techniques of Wing Chun tend to be effective for smaller people to use against much larger, stronger opponents. It is also intended to be faster to learn than other types of Kung Fu. One of the best known training techniques of Wing Chun is to use a wooden dummy, where strikes to many parts of the body are practiced. Bruce Lee studied Wing Chun, together with a number of other forms of martial arts, before developing his own style of Jeet Kune Do.

People nowadays may wonder how relevant Jeet Kune Do is, especially when mixed martial arts are very popular. The truth is, mixed martial arts was seriously influenced by Bruce Lee and Jeet Kune Do. What mixed martial arts is not all that different from what Bruce Lee invented in Jeet Kune Do, which is a combination of all the excellent techniques of all martial arts in one system. The fact is, Dana White, the president of the UFC, credits Bruce Lee with being the real father of mma. JKD was one of many initial mixed martial arts.

You can actually find Jeet Kune Do being taught in many places around the world. Bruce Lee had a good philosophy of allowing the person to develop their potential to their fullest and Jeet Kune Do is the expression of that. If you wish to discover more about Jeet Kune Do, you can speak with a qualified instructor or read the books that Bruce Lee wrote.

This merchandise is great for those that need to scan on the go. The size on the Fujitsu SCANSNAP S1100 CLR 600DPI USB Mobile Scanner is really cute since it is just 10.7 inches long, a hair below two inches wide and a mere 1.3 inches thick. You will be able to perform a smooth full-page scan from pretty much anywhere. There’s not much equipment needed for the scanner, just a USB cable and a laptop. Besides full-page documents, you can scan postcards, greeting cards as well as laminated or plastic ID cards. As for the speed of the scanner, you can scan a letter sized document in just under 7.5 seconds. Some of the capabilities of the ScanSnap S1100 are automatic picture processing, such as Auto color discovery, Auto skew correction, and Auto orientation.

You will find a number of distinctive ScanSnap scanner models manufactured by Fujitsu While they now have high performing desktop scanners, these would not be portable enough to take with you on a company trip. With the S1100 and its portability, a big part of your scan work can be finished while you are on your small business trip. It will keep you from having to do additional work back at the workplace. Think about precisely how nice it would be to carry a small scanner with you that could do the bulk of your work while viewing TV in a motel room.

Find more reviews like this at 3 Good Reviews

The S1100 is the most recent member of the Fujitsu family and they have practically as much ability of the desktop models. The mobile scanner comes bundled up with the same easy to use software and has the same fit and finish of its much bigger siblings. For the ScanSnap to be very mobile, Fujitsu had to leave off specific features identified in their desktop scanners. Two-sided scans had been abandoned, along with multi-page feeds. While it lacks two very popular features, it is unquestionably not likely a deal breaker. Sometimes without the multi-page feeder and two sided scanning, you will have the ability to scan documents quickly by using the S1100.

By having the S1100 even though on travel, it can provide much flexibility and more choices for you and your clients. Anyone wanting to quickly scan something while absent from the office will definitely like the portable size and ease of use. Realtors, insurance sales people, consultants and others who are continuously on the road would find the S1100 very useful. The scanner is very sturdy and it’s very simple to operate while the quality of the scan is great. There are countless things that should be scanned on a company trip. Think how many various receipts can be scanned, and place on your computer system.

Of course, the S1100 is not limited to life on the road, you can easily use this for your computer as well. If you really don’t do much scanning of very large, multi-page documents, you will find that the S1100 will the only scanner you need.

Selecting and purchasing the perfect athletic shoe is a challenge, especially for serious athletes who need high performance. It’s always an option to head to a specialty store for experienced help, but having in mind a few simple essentials will help in finding the ideal shoe.

Begin by figuring out the ideal shoe type for your sport. There are some major differences between the design of running shoes, walking shoes, cross-trainers, and basketball shoes, though they can appear to be fairly similar in appearance. Once you’ve made your buying determination, don’t leave the section stocking that type of shoe. If you participate in several types of sports, consider buying more than one pair for ideal performance.

Sports nutrition is a topic that is complex, and even professional nutritionists have differing opinions on what is the best course of nutrition for an athlete. Just like all areas of training, professionals have pet theories upon which they build their regimens. However, there are some basics that are intractable. First, hydration is key.

Related Article: More on Agility Training

The importance of hydration cannot be overstated. Many health professionals say that many, if not most, people live in a constant state of dehydration. Few of us take in the amount of water that we should. One should not go overboard with drinking hundreds of ounces of water a day, but one must absolutely maintain a baseline level for health. Simple things like not confusing thirst for hunger (surprisingly common) can be helpful in strategizing to avoid dehydration.

Athletes should be particularly concerned with maintaining proper hydration. The loss of sweat through heavy exertion means that water must be replenished to keep the body working in top form. Water is necessary to promote the transportation of various nutrients, as well as to assist in elimination of waste products from the body. Water lubricates joints and tissues, and keeps body temperature under control. Water also aids the body to digest foods. Know that you’re hydrated based on a large amount of light-colored and diluted urine. Watch for deep colored urine as a danger sign of not enough water.

Among useful are my favorite jackets, skirts, pants, summer dresses, winter coats, lingerie section with intimates, t-shirts, suits, numerous boots and sneakers, sandals and flip-flops, hats, gloves and scarves and belts. But there are plenty of things I need to get rid of there like: table games (this is not the right place for them), my skates, old empty boxes which should be used on purpose somewhere in the basement. My husband’s tools appears in my wardrobe sometimes, when I see it I always yell at him, but realizing that my wardrobe is in mess even without them, I’m calming down and let it go sometimes.

I like everything about it, the interface; the arrangement of my contacts, the mail is delivered timely and without breakdowns, calendar, the fact that I can personalize it as I want and many other things. I can also read my yahoo emails from my phone, probably other email services can provide me with the same option as well, but since I never tried a different one and don’t really want to I would better stick with my Yahoo. Yahoo is my homepage and this is very convenient since I can read new and know what’s going on with my mail at the same time.
